Installation in a car
These work fine in a rotary engine, 4 cylinder, 6, or V8, it does not matter. The speedo pickup is from a reed switch and magnet, like a pushbike speedo. You need to install the included magnet and reed switch to measure wheel revolutions. See some examples below.

 The kit includes a stainless steel mounting bracket, or the unit can be bolted directly to your dashboard.

While these speedo's pass ADR for road registered bikes, if it is to be used in road registered cars, you must retain the existing odometer, as the odometer in the Acewell's goes to 99,999km, and for Australian road registration, a car must have an odo that goes to 999,999km, unless you have a concession such as for a kit car, historic, rally car etc.
